I only just realized that Australia has a labor day every year just like America. Except we don't take it as seriously as much as the americans do- hence me only realizing this year. But we treated today just like any other public holiday; go out and have lunch. We were initially supposed to go to the beach but ofcourse none of us woke up at 7:30 to leave by 8:00. But i'm glad we ended up having lunch instead because i'm not that enthusiastic about the beach since it takes until winter of the next year for my skin colour to go lighter (it never really goes back anyway). We ate out at The Coffee Club near the Nepean River and then visited Mulgoa and re-created old photos of my brother and I :). Wore the perfect outfit for today's 32 degree heat with my chiffon collared crop top from papermate and white midi skirt from a thrift shop. I got both these clothing piece from thrift shops and i'm so glad i found them! Never underestimate what you can find at thrift shops!

 My siblings and i took a spontaneous trip to Summer Hill and then Newtown and then The Grounds of Alexandria. So we basically took a roam around hipsterville since these are pretty common places to go to nowadays but we never got around to going there till today. MAN was it hot as! SULA here and there. It would've been the best day to go to the beach but we just ended up going to the city by happenstance. But nevertheless i enjoyed the feel and looks of the places that we went to. Plunge was the cafe that we had lunch at and the food was amaaaaaazeballs! I was drawn to eat there simply because of the fact that it was so hipster. Like, it looked like it was still undergoing renovation but i'm pretty sure that's really how it's suppose to look like just by the looks of it. Even though it looks like those cafes that are hipster and over-rated, it really isn't. The food was extremely tasty and filling- Definitely worth the money! The staff were really nice (simply because every waiter that walked past said hi-- that's something new). PLUNGE did not disappoint! 

Then i felt like going to Newtown cause i'd never been there before (i was really only looking for that wall that everyone takes photos of when they go there) but i didn't find it. sigh. But we DID come across a very interesting op shop "Cat protection society opportunity shop". I got a black LEATHER bag and scored it for 5 bucks! Come on!! and then a chiffon crop top (which you will see in a future post).

Since we were already nearby (and why not soak in more of this very hipster-like culture), we went to The Grounds of Alexandria (love the name). There was cafes, pretty flowers, lights, stands on wheels, a cheese freezer (which i only walked into cause i was sweating everywhere) and GOATS. Everywhere you looked was a photo-op. I was even contemplating on having my 18th debut there (which is in less than 3 years) because it's just the perfect fairytale-like venue to have a birthday celebration at.

First time i trying out a cut crease on myself. I must say, those who have the capability of doing it flawlessly have very steady hands and a good eyesight. To me this is the next level to liquid eyeliner because once you do something wrong it'd be pretty damn hard to fix it. But hope isn't lost 'cause its merely about practice when it comes to makeup anyway. Makeup is simply trial and error. 

I originally had a bright, warm red lipstick but i thought i'd been wearing too much red so i put on a purple Palladio lipstick in rose bud on top of a rich, red Ever Bilena lipliner. 

Since it's the holidays, i thought that i should probably do something worthwhile for my body. I've been eating so much junk, especially at school since i don't really bother with preparing clean/healthy meals. So i tried out a mango smoothie a few weeks before i started drinking this green smoothie. It actually surprised me that i like this smoothie because it's got vegetables in it. I NEVER ate vegetables as a child so it was about time that i could finally tolerate green vegetables. 

Today is the 5th day of the holidays and since the beginning of the holidays i've been having this every morning for breakfast and it lasts up to 4 hours i don't have to worry about snacking before lunch. It's such an easy recipe. If a lazy person can bother do make this, anyone else can.

Ingredients: 

2 hand fulls of frozen mangoes

a hand full of spinach and kale

3 spoons of yoghurt 

1/2 cup of milk

School just flooded over my plans so this is the only chance I've had to finally post something. Well better late than never (the motto i live by, literally). But i've got a few future blog post ideas in mind since my brain finally decided to get inspired.

Well it's been quite a long time since we as a whole family have been to the city so we went to mass and then lunch at The Meat and Wine co. MAN WAS THAT LUNCH FILLING.
